A laptop and notebook fit a 36-47in desk; one monitor and accessories suit 47-55in; dual monitors or a full workstation want 60-72in. Keep depth at 24-30in for keyboard space and an arm's-length screen distance.

Standard desk height is 29-30in. For good posture your elbows should rest near 90 degrees while typing with feet flat on the floor. If the desk is fixed and too tall, adjust the chair and add a footrest.
