Our standard shipping uses our duty-paid logistics partners — which means you won't pay any customs duties, taxes, or import fees on arrival. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Most orders ship within 3-5 business days after payment is confirmed. Custom or made-to-order items may take 5-10 business days. We'll email you a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

Important for European Customers

If you choose Express Shipping to the UK, EU, or other European destinations, please be aware that customs duties and VAT can be substantial (often 20-25% of order value, plus handling fees).

For European orders, we strongly recommend Standard Shipping to avoid these charges. If you need faster delivery and decide to use Express, please factor in the additional customs costs when budgeting your purchase.

Tips for Smooth Shipping

To make sure your Lighom order arrives without any issues, please follow these tips before and after placing your order.

Before You Order

Provide a complete shipping address. Include apartment, unit, or building number — incomplete addresses are the most common cause of delivery failure.

Use a valid mobile phone number. Many carriers (especially DHL, FedEx, and local couriers) require a working phone number for delivery notifications. Orders without a phone number may be delayed or returned.

Use an email you check regularly. We send tracking updates, customs notices, and delivery alerts via email. Missing these can cause delays.

Choose the right shipping method. Standard (free) is best for non-urgent orders with no customs fees. Express (paid) is for urgent orders where customs fees apply.

Check product dimensions. Lighom products vary widely in size. Check the dimensions on each product page to make sure the item fits your space and delivery doorway, staircase, or elevator.

During Shipping

Track your order regularly. Once shipped, you'll receive a tracking link by email. Tracking updates may take 24-48 hours to appear after dispatch.

Respond to carrier contact attempts. If the carrier emails or texts you, respond promptly. Missed delivery attempts can result in the package being returned to the sender — and additional reshipping fees.

Be available on delivery day. Larger items (chandeliers, floor lamps, furniture) may require a signature. If you can't be home, arrange for a neighbor to receive the package or designate a safe drop-off location with the carrier.

When Your Package Arrives

Inspect the package before opening. If you see any visible damage to the box, take photos immediately before opening. This is essential for damage claims.

Check the contents within 48 hours. Open carefully, check for any defects or missing parts, and contact us at service@lighom.com within 48 hours if you notice any issues.

Keep the original packaging. Save all original packaging materials for at least 14 days. You'll need them in case you decide to return the item or if we need to process a damage claim.

Test before installing lighting fixtures. Plug in or temporarily mount your light before final wiring to confirm size, brightness, and finish. Once installed, change-of-mind returns are no longer accepted.

Important Notes

  • PO Boxes: Standard shipping only. Express shipping requires a physical street address.
  • Military addresses (APO/FPO/DPO): We currently cannot deliver to military addresses — please use a stateside or civilian address.
  • Remote areas: Some destinations may require additional delivery time. We'll contact you if this affects your order.
  • Incorrect address: Unsuccessful deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete address information cannot be refunded. Re-shipping fees may apply.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

Standard Shipping = No Customs Fees

Our standard shipping is fully duty-paid. You will not pay any customs duties, taxes, or import fees when your package arrives. The price at checkout is the final price.

Express Shipping = Customs Fees Apply

If you choose Express Shipping, customs fees may apply based on your country:

  • USA: orders under $800 typically arrive duty-free
  • Canada: orders under CAD $20 (gift) or CAD $40 (personal) duty-free
  • EU: VAT and duties apply, can be 20-25% of order value
  • UK: VAT applies on orders over £135
  • Australia: GST applies on orders over AUD $1,000

Charges are assessed by your local customs authority and paid upon delivery. These fees are separate from your Lighom order total.

Common Questions

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
Contact us within 24 hours of placing the order. Once your order ships, we cannot redirect it.

Can I split my order across multiple addresses?
Currently, each order ships to a single address. Please place separate orders for each destination.

Can I expedite my order after placing it?
Yes — contact service@lighom.com within 24 hours of ordering. We can upgrade you to Express Shipping if your order hasn't shipped yet (express fee applies).

What if I'm not home when delivery arrives?
Most carriers will leave a notice and attempt redelivery. You can also arrange a pickup at a nearby carrier facility using your tracking number.

Do you ship to my country?
We ship to many countries and regions worldwide. Enter your address at checkout to confirm delivery options.

What if my package is lost in transit?
Contact service@lighom.com if your package hasn't arrived within 5 business days of the expected delivery date. We'll investigate with the carrier and arrange a replacement or refund if needed.

Will I be charged customs fees on Standard Shipping?
No — our standard shipping is duty-paid. You will not pay any customs fees on arrival.

How do I know my order has shipped?
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. If you don't see it, please check your spam folder.


Delivery Issues

Package not received after expected delivery date?

  1. Check tracking — sometimes the carrier marks "delivered" before the package physically arrives
  2. Check with neighbors and your local post office or customs office
  3. Wait 2-3 business days (most "missing" packages arrive in this window)
  4. If still missing, contact us at service@lighom.com within 30 days of the shipment date

We'll work with the carrier to locate your package or arrange a replacement.

Damaged on arrival?

  1. Take photos before opening the package
  2. Document any damage to the product after opening
  3. Email service@lighom.com with photos within 48 hours
  4. We'll arrange a free replacement or full refund per our Return Policy

Wrong address provided?

We do our best to accommodate address changes, but once an order ships we cannot redirect it.

  • Contact us within 24 hours of placing the order — we'll update your address before shipment if possible
  • If the package has shipped, you'll need to coordinate with the carrier directly

Pre-Order & Backorder Items

Some items may be marked Pre-Order or Backorder:

  • Pre-Order: ships when the item arrives at our warehouse (estimated date shown on product page)
  • Backorder: temporarily out of stock — we'll email you with an updated shipping estimate

Holiday & Peak Season Notice

Shipping times may be extended during:

  • December 1 – January 5 (Christmas and New Year)
  • Late January – early February (Chinese New Year — our fulfillment centers close for 7-10 days)
  • Late November (Black Friday and Cyber Monday)
