Measure your room's available wall and leave 18-24in of breathing room on each side; a sofa looks balanced at about two-thirds the wall length. Roughly, 72in seats 2-3, 84in seats 3, and 96in+ seats 3-4 or fits a small sectional.

Standard interior doorways are 30-36in wide. Measure the sofa's narrowest dimension — usually depth or seat width — against your delivery path. For tight doorways or stairwells, look for sofas with removable legs or modular sectionals that move in parts.

Taller users (5'9"+) are comfortable with 22-24in seat depth; shorter users prefer 19-21in. Deeper seats (24in+) suit lounging and napping but support upright sitting less well. Seat depth is noted in most product descriptions.

Full-grain leather is the most durable and develops a patina; top-grain is sanded and treated, slightly less hard-wearing; bonded leather is reconstituted scraps with a coating — softer feeling but shorter-lived. The product description states which is used.

For fabric, vacuum weekly and blot spills with a clean cloth; use water-based cleaner for most fabrics and solvent only for delicate ones. For leather, dust dry and wipe spills quickly. When unsure, check the product description or contact us.

Most sofas arrive partly assembled — attaching the legs takes about 5-10 minutes with the hardware that ships with the piece. Sectionals connect with brackets in roughly 20-40 minutes. Heavier sofas are easier and safer to position with two people.
