The steel shade cups downward to throw light where you need it — desk surface, bedside table, open book — while keeping the bulb out of your direct sightline. That's the eye-protection part: no exposed filament glare, just a focused pool that doesn't fatigue your eyes during long reading sessions or late work nights.
Gold-finish steel construction with visible welds and minimal fuss. The 23.6-inch height puts the shade at a useful angle for most seating positions. Works with E26 LED, incandescent, or CFL bulbs up to your preferred brightness; bulb not included. Plug-in cord, so you'll need an outlet within reach.
